Abstract
The middle Famennian (Late Devonian) Enkenberg section is studied in terms of ammonoid and conodont zonations. Six ammonoid zones (Paratornoceras lentiforme Zone,Maeneceras meridionale Zone,Pernoceras dorsatum Zone,Pseudoclymenia pseudogoniatites Zone,Prolobites delphinus Zone, andPlatyclymenia annulata Zone) and six conodont zones (Earlymarginifera Zone, Latemarginifera Zone, Latestmarginifera Zone, Earlytrachytera Zone, Latetrachytera Zone, andpostera Zone) could be recognised and exactly correlated.
