Abstract

The effect of quenching on the activation performance of Ti–28V–15Mn–10Cr alloy was investigated. It was found that the quenched sample is less easily pulverized than the as cast sample. The higher content of oxygen and TiO2 on the surface of the quenched sample results in the poor activation characteristics of this alloy.
