Abstract
Merchants in food products of all kinds have noted in recent years a distinct demand developing for food products of uniform grade and high quality. With per capita earnings of consumers greatly increased by conditions during and following the war, the consumer’s purchasing ability has been greatly enhanced. These changed consumer demands have brought to the producer and distributor of food products a realization of the importance of standardization, for only by it can the new demands of consumers be met. Especially is this true of perishable food products, such as dressed poultry and eggs, which are quickly perishable unless handled and stored under proper conditions.QUALITY PRODUCTION ESSENTIALThe first essential of successful marketing is quality production. The problems of food distribution in the terminal markets bear convincing testimony to this fact. It is hardly necessary to mention that eggs to be readily salable in the best trade channels .
