Abstract
Measurements are reported for the absolute amplitude of the de Haas-van Alphen effect due to the neck in the FS of nickel along [111] using the field modulation technique. The results show that the amplitude can be adequately calculated using the Lifshitz-Kosevich theory, independent of the conduction electron g-factor.
