Abstract

PrefaceThe 2018 5th International Conference on Material Engineering and Application (ICMEA 2018) was held from December 14-16, 2018 in Wuhan, China. Aiming to provide an excellent international academic forum for all the researchers and practitioners, the conference enjoyed widespread participation among universities and research institutes.It provided opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration. Papers and topics concentrating on related fields of the environment, materials, material engineering and application were presented.The ICMEA 2018 proceedings collects the most up-to-date, comprehensive, and worldwide state-of-the-art knowledge on environment, material engineering and application and other related topics. All the accepted papers have been submitted to a strict peer-review by 2-3 international expert referees, and selected based on originality, significance and clarity for the purpose of the conference. The conference program is extremely rich, profound and featured high-impact presentations of selected papers and additional late-breaking contributions. I sincerely hope that the conference would not only provide the participants with a broad overview of the latest research results in related fields, but also provide them with a significant platform for academic connection and exchange. The Technical Program Committee members have been working very hard to meet the deadline of review.I would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the keynote speakers, editors, TPC members and organizers for their hard work, precious time and endeavor while preparing the conference.
