Abstract
The modification of the shape of the 3 v 3 vibration-rotation band of CO 2 by different perturbing gases (CO 2, He, Ar, N 2) has been studied at room temperature for a wide range of pressures (up to 140 atm) using a Fourier transform interferometer. Important narrowing effects in the R branch are observed.
