Abstract

Abstract A calculation including Coriolis coupling of the low-lying negative parity Nilsson model orbitals in 155 Gd is performed. The energy of the 3/2 − |532| band head is based on the Nilsson model. A comparison between the calculated and experimental energies, the (d, p) stripping and (d, t) pick-up cross sections is used to verify the suggested perturbed energy position of the 3/2 − |532| band.
