Abstract

Preface: The 2017 International Conference on Mathematics, Science, and Education (ICoMSE 2017)The 2017 International Conference on Mathematics, Science, and Education (ICoMSE 2017) was held in Malang, East Java Indonesia on 29-30 August 2017. It is an international conference covering a wide range of subjects in mathematics and natural sciences. This Conference was organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Malang (UM) in collaboration with the Indonesian Chemical Society, Indonesian Physical Society, and the Indonesian Biology Consortium.Many people have enthusiastically participated in the preparation of this conference, including the Organizing Committees, the speakers, technicians, students, etc. Thank you all for your collaboration and extraordinary support. Thanks to all invited speakers: Prof. Dr. Hadi Nur (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia), Dr. Siriwat Soontaranon (Synchrotron Light Research Institute, Thailand), Prof. Dr. Oenardi Lawanto (Utah State Univesity, USA), Prof. Chokchai Yuenyong, Ph.D. (Khon Kaen University, Thailand), Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Gereon Elbers (FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Germany), Prof. Akhmaloka (Institut Teknologi Bandung), that you accepted our invitation.The financial support from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, State University of Malang is gratefully acknowledged. ICoMSE 2017 is aimed at providing the scientific forum to encourage communication and interaction among distinguished scientists working in related fields in order to construct research collaborations and extending international research networking for the future. More than 500 authors from six countries have submitted their work to the conference. ICoMSE 2017 finally accepted 51 original research papers after a peer review process at least by two reviewers. During the conference, 10 parallel sessions were held in order to advance and contribute to specific research area in Mathematics, Science, and Education. Finally, special thanks to you, the delegates, for supplying the input needed for successful scientific conferences.
