Preface

Abstract

The Seminar Nasional Material (SNM) is an annual national conference organized by the Physics of Electronic Materials Research Group, Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Institut Teknologi Bandung. The Seminar Nasional Material (SNM) 2018 was held on November 16-17 2018 at Institut Teknologi Bandung with the main theme “Science and Materials Technology Innovation to Improve Global Competitiveness”. The aim of this event was to support Material Research in Indonesia which is one of the research with a substantial contribution to the technological progress and sustainable development in Indonesia. In addition, this seminar is also expected to be a place for communication and enhance the creativity of researchers, lecturers, and students involved in the field of materials research.There were presentations from 1 keynote speaker, 5 guest speakers and 82 participants in the The Seminar Nasional Material 2018. The scopes of the seminar were covered several topics which included 20 presentations in the fields of Energy and Electronics Materials, 18 presentations in the field of Composite Materials, Metals and Ceramics, 23 presentations in the field of Nanomaterials and Catalysts and 21 presentations in the field of Biomaterials. The output of this seminar published in National Proceedings in Bahasa Indonesia and Proceedings of IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering. After peer-reviewed by experts in related fields, finally, this proceeding contains 31 accepted papers in IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering.The Seminar Nasional Material (SNM) 2018 committee would like to acknowledge the enthusiasms of the participants, support from the sponsors, all members of the committees, the advisory board, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of ITB, and all those who had contributed to the success of The Seminar Nasional Material (SNM) 2018.Dr.Eng.
