Abstract
The characterization by proton NMR of extracts in pyridine of two Spanish coals, which have been previously depolymerized by selective cleavage of the ether bridges, together with data of their elemental analysis, allow us to calculate their structural parameters, from which it is possible to get an insight into the average structural unit of each coal. At the same time, data are obtained which confirm the known depolymerization of the coals.
