Abstract
ABSTRACT This manuscript reports qualitative case study research with 10 school-counselors-in-training (SCITs). Using a single-case approach, researchers explored SCITs’ professional identity development through the implementation of an andragogical intervention using two simulated counseling encounters as part of a school counseling course. The results of this study produced an understanding of 10 SCITs’ evolving professional identity, counseling skills, and actions. Implications for school counselor training, counselor educators’ andragogy, research, and future simulations are discussed.
