Abstract
The international tourism industry in Thailand has established an impressive record of growth over the last decade. Thailand's national development plans call for meeting the challenge of simultaneously attracting both large spending tourists as well as those who are willing to extend the length of their visits. This article finds that these two groups of tourists represent divergent markets in several cases.
