Abstract
Th e purpose of this chapter is to demonstrate how the Good Lives Model (GLM) can be applied in each stage of the clinical assessment and treatment process in the case of a child sexual off ender. As stated below, in order to protect the clients’ confi dentiality, the case used is a composite, drawn from several diff erent individuals. However, all of the details that are described (such as psychometric tests) are those that were used in one or other of the cases. It is the view of the authors that using a composite does not detract from the purpose of this chapter, which is primarily to show how the good lives model may be applied to a clinical case. All three authors are qualifi ed clinical psychologists who have experience working with sexual off enders.
