Abstract

Testicular 32P uptake was “inhibited” in White Leghorn cockerels by testosterone when injected alone or in combination with follicle-stimulating hormone. Division of the 32P counts by testes weights and evaluation of the data by factorial analysis increased the reliability of the results. These data are contrary to the reported potentiation of FSH action by testosterone in immature male Japanese quail.
