Abstract

Relationships between leader behaviors and subordinate satisfac tion and performance, moderated by task scope, growth need strength, and locus of control, were tested in Saudi Arabia and the United States. The results appear to support path-goal theory's hy potheses in terms of satisfaction but fail to support them in terms of performance.
