Abstract

Strong mirror channel correlations have been observed in the reactions $^{16}\mathrm{O}(^{6}\mathrm{Li}, p)^{21}\mathrm{Ne}$ and $^{16}\mathrm{O}(^{6}\mathrm{Li}, p)^{21}\mathrm{Na}$. The linear cross correlation coefficient $r$ is found to be of the order of 0.6, indicating a high degree of isospin conservation. For the compound nucleus $^{22}\mathrm{Na}$ the isospin mixing matrix element $〈{V}_{c}〉$ is estimated to be about 1 keV at ${E}_{x}\ensuremath{\cong}19$ MeV.
