Abstract
We discuss some processes for studying heavy quarkonium production and polarization mechanisms, including photoproduction of η c and J/ψ polarization in DIS at HERA. The J/ψ hadroproduction at Tevatron in the k t factorization approach is also studied. We find that these processes can provide important tests for heavy quarkonium production, and the color-octet mechansim.
