Abstract

The morphometrical study and application of discriminant analysis of the Ml of five populations from southeast of France and Liguria permitted to recognize the populations of Terricola living in this country at middle Pleistocene (Lazaret and Baume Bonne), late Pleistocene (Arma dell' Manie and Abri Mochi) and Neolithic. Two species, T. multiplex and T. savn, were found in Arma dell' Manie and Abri Mochi, one species in Lazaret cave (T. multiplex) and one species in Baume Bonne and Baume Fontbrégoua (T. duodecimcostatus). This study show that the inclination of the pitymyan rhombus increase during that period in some species.
