Abstract
We have studied the terahertz (THz)-pulse radiation properties of high- T C superconductors. Up to now, it was found that the THz-pulse radiation property strongly depends on the kind of high- T C superconducor material and also its carrier-doping level. The bandwidth in the Fourier spectrum of the THz-pulse decreases with an increase of the two-dimensionality of high- T C superconductor material in the order of YBa 2Cu 3O 7− δ , Tl 2Ba 2CaCu 2O 8+ δ , and Bi 2Sr 2CaCu 2O 8+ δ . These results indicate that the ultrafast carrier dynamics of supercarriers along the crystal c-axis is an important factor to determine the Fourier components of THz-pulse.
