Abstract

This study proposes a set of tuneable terahertz (THz) frequency selective surfaces (FSSs) based on the metal-graphene structure. By the numerical technique, the transmission characteristics of the proposed FSSs are investigated in detail. In particular, the independent frequency tuneability of the proposed multiband FSS is demonstrated, i.e. the resonant frequency of each band can be tuned independently without affecting other bands. Such flexibility makes the proposed FSSs practical and potential for various THz applications including filters, radomes, polarisers, and sensors.
