Abstract

The effect of sterilization by tris-(1-aziridinyl) phosphinc oxide (tepa) upon oxygen consumption of the spotted cucumber beetle, Diabrotica undecimpunctata howardi Barber, has not been reported. The study reported here was designed to determine if tepa could be used as an effective male sterilant, and if so, the dosage required to effect sterilization and the effect of sterilization on oxygen consumption.
