Abstract
During several years of operation of Pannonpower Energetic, hundreds of thousands of tons of ash and slag, containing elevated levels of naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORMs), have been produced. The company decided to launch an environmental restoration program. The main goals are the environmental restoration of the area and to work out recommended options for future industrial, agricultural, and urban utilization.
