Abstract
Objective To study the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment method for adrenocortical carcinoma, and to improve diagnosis and treatment level for adrenocortical carcinoma. Methods The clinical data of 10 cases of adrenocortical carcinoma confirmed by pathology from February 2007 to February 2016 were retrospectively analyzed, the diagnosis and treatment effect were analyzed with relevant literature. Results Among the 10 patients, 6 cases were functioning tumor, with mean survival of (32.66±24.57) months; 4 cases were non functioning tumor, with mean survival of (10.00±6.68) months. Seven cases of tumor were completely excised, 3 cases underwent palliative resection. Of the 10 cases, 1 case was at stage Ⅰ with being still alive; 6 cases were at stage Ⅱ, of which 3 cases were still alive; 1 case was at stage Ⅲ, and survived 19 months after operation; 2 cases were at stage Ⅳ and survived 3 and 10 months after operation, respectively. Conclusions Early diagnosis and treatment for adrenocortical carcinoma are the precondition for improving prognosis, and surgery is the most effective treatment method.
