Abstract
It’s very important to make use of finite element analysis software to assist the structure design of power battery connector. In this paper, Ansys workbench was used to establish the electric-thermal coupling model of finite element simulation for the connector assembly, and the temperature field simulation calculation and analysis were carried out for the connectors of different thickness under the condition of high current. The results show that the maximum temperature of the connector increases with the decrease of its cross-section thickness, and the higher the current is, the longer the power time will be, the higher the temperature will be. In addition, the connector with thickness of 0.8 mm has the risk of fusing under the action of 500 A current.
