Abstract

Abstract Temperature dependences of the dielectric susceptibility (χ) and soft-mode frequency of a quantum ferroelectric have been obtained in the frames of the vibronic theory of structural phase transitions. It has been shown that at low temperatures on reasonable approximations χ ∼ (T 2 - T 2 c )−1 (Tc is the temperature at which the soft-mode frequency becomes zero) for the paraphase.
