Abstract

The ${}^{63}\mathrm{Cu},$ ${}^{65}\mathrm{Cu}$ nuclear-magnetic-resonance spectra and magnetic susceptibility were measured for the infinite-layer antiferromagnetic copper oxide ${\mathrm{SrCuO}}_{2}.$ The N\'eel temperature and effective magnetic moment were determined to be 442(6) K and $1.13(7){\ensuremath{\mu}}_{B},$ respectively. The antiferromagnetic structure has a quasi-two-dimensional character similar to other antiferromagnetic parent compounds of high-${T}_{C}$ superconductors.
