Abstract

Abstract The temperature changes of dielectric spectra e(ω, T) for various ferroelectrics and related crystals were obtained by microwave and far-infrared spectroscopy methods. These investigations show the absence of the abrupt boundary between the displacive and order-disorder type ferroelectrics. In practically all cases the dispersion of e=C(T−θ)−1 in the non-polar phase may be described by the model of the oscillator with the damping y and with critical temperature dependence of frequency: v0=A(T−θ)1/2.
