Abstract

Herein, we demonstrate a novel strategy of two-stage synthesis for the ZSM-5 nanoparticles that have tetrahedrally coordinated Al atoms in their framework. The particle size is significantly decreased at low temperatures during the synthesis; however, high temperatures are required for the successful incorporation of the Al atoms into the zeolite framework. Because of the rapid heating and cooling of the specially-designed tubular reactor with high thermal conductivity, suppression of the Ostwald ripening and incorporation of Al into the framework are simultaneously accomplished.
