Abstract

This paper proposes a torque loss calculation method considering the effect of frictional force between the friction pair and the hub, which is proposed to the temperature variation characteristics between different friction pairs in wet clutch. The method is verified by simulating complex operating conditions on the experiment facilities. The temperature variation in the wet clutch during typical operating conditions is tested by the experiment facilities, and the temperature variation on different friction pairs is analyzed on the basis. The results have shown that the temperature of the friction plate in the penultimate position is the highest, the temperature of the separator plate in the first and last position is the lowest, and the temperature of the friction lining rises in the order of engagement order. The analysis of the temperature’s changed data has shown the validity of the torque loss calculation method, and it has also revealed the temperature distribution law between the friction pairs at different positions.
