Abstract
The hegemonization of Western Psychology in the Modern Psychology and Counseling scene cannot be denied. This situation can certainly have a negative impact on a Muslim, because the development of western counseling is static and is strongly influenced by the western worldview. Syed Naquib Al Attas is a Muslim scholarship who has a deep view of the current Western concept of counseling. One of the concepts developed by Syed Naquib Al Attas is the Islamic worldview. In this study, the researcher used a library research method using a qualitative approach. The results of the study show that the worldview in modern psychology that is currently developing is undeniably full of the dominance of subjective western psychologists' thoughts, which are influenced by their socio-cultural background. In the scientific study of counseling, there is a strong influence from the worldview of psychology and western counseling on the currently developing science of counseling, namely the worldview that is not yet Islamic.Hegemonisasi Psikologi Barat dalam kencah pemikiran Psikologi dan konseling Modern tidak dapat dipungkiri. Situasi ini tentunya bisa berdampak buruk bagi seorang Muslim, sebab perkembangan konseling barat bersifat statis dan sangat dipengaruhi worldview barat itu sendiri. Pengaruh worldview barat pada ilmu psikologi dan konseling kontemporer perlu ditelaah kembali agar dapat diterapkan secara proporsional dalam pengembangan ilmu psikologi dan konseling Islami. Pada penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pada hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Cara pandang alam (worldview) pada psikologi dan konseling modern mendominasi pemikiran psikolog barat yang subjektif, yang terpengaruh latar sosio-kulturalnya. Dalam kajian keilmuan konseling terdapat pengaruh yang kuat dari worldview psikologi dan konseling barat yang terhadapat ilmu konseling yang berkembang saat ini adalah worldview barat.
