Abstract

The article presents a reprint of the article Technology in the Service of Language Learning: Trends and Issues, by Nina Garrett, which appeared in issue 75 of the journal. The article discusses the use of technology in language education and whether technology can promote language learning and communication in students. The author comments on the use of videotapes, computers and local area networks (LANs) in education, as well as teacher attitudes toward technology.
