Technologies for applying Ni-Au coatings to heat sinks of SiC-Al metal matrix composite material

Abstract

This article focuses on development and research of coating technology Ni-Au on heat sink bases of metal matrix composite SiC-Al. In the development of technology as a base was suggested a coating which was received by the process of chemical nickel plating. After the process of chemical nickel plating to increase component adhesion samples were exposed to heat. The final step in the application of the functional coating was galvanic gilding. To evaluate performance of heat sink bases of electronical moduls were held mechanical and climatic tests of received samples in the conditions, which are as close as possible to the conditions of their real exploitation. Studies have been conducted on the product samples, which were tested according to the development technology. The results showed that all of them have passed the test successfully, according to GOST (GOST - State Standard, Russian National Standard) 20.57.406.
