Abstract

Raising teacher education in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is represented by a network of universities that offer a variety of professional development programs for early childhood education professionals.The research methods used in the article are: theoretical (the analysis of philosophical, pedagogical, psychological literature) – to justify the starting points of the study; interpretation and analytical method – based on which Ukrainian and foreign sources are studied using synthesis, analysis, systematization, and generalization; a method of comparative historical analysis – to identify methodological approaches in the preparation of a teacher of preschool education in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.The article describes the forms and methods of training that are used in the professional development of preschool education professionals in the previously mentioned country studying: lectures, advisory method, teamwork, seminars, base study method, distance learning, independent work, research method, and others. Particular emphasis is placed on the coverage of those, used in the advanced training system, including: groupwork, role-playing games, watching video fragments on practice and discussing them, round tables, group curriculum development. Their advantages and features are indicated in the article. The effectiveness of application in the process of advanced training of teacher-researcher has been proved.Raising the level of preschool education of teachers in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is represented by a network of universities that offer various professional development programs for specialists in preschool education, which are analyzed in the article and will by studied in the future.
