Abstract
Rush pins provide stability and alignment of pediatric and adolescent femur fractures, which allows rapid mobilization and healing. The smooth stainless steel pins are inserted with minimal surgical and biologic trauma. Medullary reaming and filling of the canal are not needed to obtain fixation. The preparation and insertion technique of these semirigid pins is exacting.
