Abstract

It is regarded that one of the factors for successful completion of a work is: performance of this work in a team. Teamwork allows implementing projects that are almost impossible for implementation by a single person (employee). However, certain conditions exist for creating an effective work team. Besides, there are advantages and drawbacks in performing a work task by a team and by an individual. Today, many different types of work are noted to be accomplished in teams, with success depending on team composition and the established working relationships between team members. The relevance of effective team building in the contemporary environment contributes to a large number of various studies on teamwork and team building in organizations. The specific features of different types of modern teams: mixed (one part of employees are in the office, another part in remote work), virtual, and cross-cultural teams, etc. are subject of research. The article considers the issues of formation of work teams and learning teams transport industry personnel, the stages of team building and the benefits of teamwork in an organization. The results of surveys on preferences for performing work individually or in a team are present-ed.
