Abstract

The purpose of this article is to provide an outline for the training of persons interested in doing team development (TD). This overview will include the following: 1. A way of conceptualizing the objectives, procedures, and results of TD. 2. A series of specific training tasks and interventions for initiating, developing, implementing, and assessing a TD program. I have found the training design described here applicable for both external, i.e., independent consultants, as well as internal trainers, i.e., persons within an organization interested in doing TD.
