Abstract

Advancements in computer software have lead to increased use of computers to assist researchers with qualitative data analysis. This article explores the process of teaching and learning qualitative research with and without the use of software, based on the experiences of students and instructors in a graduate-level research course. The authors conclude by identifying issues and recommendations for developing qualitative-research courses.
