Abstract
When a subject is allowed to initiate the occurrence of the S 1 − S 2 sequence in a CNV experiment, significantly smaller CNVs are generated than when the experimenter initiates the trials. It is hypothesized that the decrement in CNV amplitude is due to a pre-S 1 negative shift in the DC level of the brain which limits subsequent negativity.
