Abstract
Abstract Treatments consisted of single rows replicated 4 times. Each row consisted of 8 trees. Materials were applied by handgun dilute on 16 May. Evaluations involved examining each tree for borers using a hammer was based on selecting the most infested trees in the row. Timing of the spray was based on pheromone trap catches using a specific pheromone for APB. A 50% mixture of a polyvinyl aqueous butyral dispersion (PVB) was used with insecticides. In addition, Vapor Gard (an anti-desiccant that also acts as a UV screen and sticker) was tested.
