Abstract

Abstract This study was located on the Hugh Tuttle farm in Dover, New Hampshire. Celery plants were transplanted into the field on 7 Jun ’84 and spaced about 1 ft apart in rows planted on 3-ft centers. Each plot consisted of a single 10-ft row and was replicated 4 times and arranged in a randomized block design. Applications were made on 10, 23 Jul, 8 and 20 Aug ’84 using a B & G CO2 pressurized sprayer at a rate of 25 gal/acre (40 psi). All treatments, including the check, received BRAVO 500 at 1.5 pt/acre as a tank-mix application each time the insecticides were applied to protect against leaf blight. Evaluation was made on 5 Sep ’84 by counting the number of TPB injured plants per 10 plants per replicate.
