Abstract

Manufacturing of agricultural machineries generally carried out by small and medium-sized enterprises in Turkey. Automation is not generally use, mass or belt production lines are very rare and the number of employees is mostly average level of SME in this sector. Thus, small numbers of workers forced to complete more than one task in their daily work routine. This means, workers are confronted more risks and hazards comparing with workers that work in large-scale enterprises. In this study, it was aim that to evaluate of work routine from the point of ergonomics and work safety in an agricultural machinery manufacturer located in Izmir-Torbali. In the first part of study, work routine was investigated and troubles in different locations were determined. In the second part, postures of the workers were evaluated by using RULA, REBA and OWAS methods and exposure levels were determined. In this context a plan introduced to rearrange of work routine considering ergonomics and work safety principles. Analyzing exposure levels, it was offered some corrections to enhance working conditions.
