Abstract
Pyroelectric thick film ceramics with the dimension 10x10x0.036mm were prepared by tape casting shaping and “sandwich” sintering. The D* value of small area IR detector made by this thick film is 2.87×108 cmHz1/2 W−1. The advantage of this method is to prepare high quality large and smooth focal plane with required hicknessby eliminating the complicated processing procedure encounted in block ceramics.
