Abstract

In the summer of 1952 part of a right lower jaw of a Tanupolama was taken from the upper part of an exposure of the Ogallala Formation on the Buis Ranch in Beaver County, Oklahoma. The locality is approximately one-half mile northeast of the quarry that yielded the Buis Ranch local fauna. The jaw came from the same horizon as the Buis Ranch fauna and the camel can be considered as a member of that fauna.
