Abstract
The recent opinion piece in EYE, ‘Mind Your Language’, raises an important question: what sort of language should we use when we talk about children? Whilst the topic is important, I believe the argument is flawed, and the examples used are also problematic. My view is that the term ‘tantrum’ is more appropriate and accessible than the suggestion of ‘dysregulation’.
