Abstract
Most literature on the delivery of good palliative care tends to value and encourage the idea of partnership working. The benefits/outcome of partnership working include enhanced quality of life for the patient and a less troublesome bereavement experience for those left behind. These noble ideas and outcomes must be supported and continued in all health-care settings. The community is where most people prefer to die, and with good partnership working, patients can have the dignified, unique death we all aim to achieve for them.
