Abstract
A tail-cuff method is described for monitoring a wide range of systolic blood pressures in the squirrel monkey. High correlations were shown between pressure readings using this indirect technique and simultaneously recorded direct carotid arterial blood pressure. The method appears to be suitable for application during behavioral conditioning procedures. Following initial adaptation to the method, no behavioral disruption was noted.
