Summary
Qigong exercises have been a part of traditional Chinese medicine [TCM] for thousands of years [1,2]. The present study summarizes the results of recent studies on the effect of qigong and tai chi on the treatment of depression. They prescribe their use for the treatment of other ailments, and have found that the patient’s depression is reduced or eliminated as a result of practicing tai chi and/or qigong.
