Abstract

The alumina welded joints with high quality is fabricated through friction stir welding. Through this experimental investigation, the friction stir welding were made between alumina and carbide based nitinol composite. The boron and titanium carbide based nitinol composite were fabricated through microwave sintering process. The tensile strength of welded joints was estimated and optimized through Taguchi approach. The substance properties of welded joint were evaluated. The interfacial layer formation and morphology of welded joint were investigated through scanning electron microscopy. The analysis of variance was provided the contribution of the friction stir welding factors. The objective of the research work is to enhance the welding strength using different input constrains and their level.
