Abstract
In times of rapid technological development, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) may prove to be crucial for the future of language teaching. ChatGPT, designed as a program that supports people in communication with the computer, imitating the way we communicate with other people, is a valuable tool for teachers and students and offers interesting perspectives in terms of improving foreign language learning. This article will present the possible uses of ChatGPT in a foreign language lesson, as well as assess the role and importance of the human teacher in light of the development of this technology.
