Abstract

This paper incorporates system load models into an improved solution technique to quantitatively assess load damping effects on power harmonics for a typical distribution system. The proposed method avoids complexities of harmonic power flow studies and offers more accurate results than the available current injection techniques. This method also allows incorporation of load models sensitive to their supply point voltage. Two load models are considered, and the results obtained tend to confirm similar investigations presented in the literature
